What are our customers saying?

“Cafe Athens is an excellent lunch spot. It’s clean and the atmosphere is pleasant and friendly (and they don’t go overboard with the Greek decorating cliches). The menu is fairly extensive, although I decided to go with the basic gyro. It was very good, and the tzaziki sauce (the key to a really good gyro) was excellent. I must say that the service was amazingly fast; my food arrived within a matter of minutes during the lunch rush. I think that’s the fastest service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant with table service.” – Yelp User

“Yes! I finally realized Cafe Athens IS the former Renzio’s from the ruins of Foothills Fashion Mall and I really was missing that place. Gyros are always fresh and even the fries seem to be made fresh with every order. With decent coupons floating around online and through various circulators you can eat fairly cheap her (it’s not too expensive to begin with though). Meat is always tender, hot, and perfectly seasoned. The table seasoning is great on anything really. Service has always been good. The first time I was here I was questioning the server on their Greek pizzas and he was very knowledgeable of their menu and ingredients.” – Yelp User

“We love Cafe Athens! We’ve been there three times now and each time we have had… 1. Extremely Friendly Service 2. Delicious Food 3. Very speedy cook times on our food. As someone who enjoyed eating Gyros in the city of Athens when I visited a few years ago, I am always searching for a place that can compare to those delicious pita “sandwiches” that I long for. Cafe Athens comes very close. Their gyro with tsatziki, feta, and “hot and spicy” (jalapenos) is wonderful: flavorful and HUGE. Last time we were there, the cook also sent us out a free plate of piping hot fries, seasoned with delicious Greek seasoning. He came out to check on our meal and make sure everything was great. We love going there and will keep going for delicious Gyros!” – Yelp User

“Great lively atmosphere, bright, good service and the fries – oh the fries are wonderful! For a table of two you could easily each order a gyro and then split a side of fries because the portions are quite generous. Having been here as well as Taverna I’ll take Cafe Athens any day, hands down. Definitely better prices and maybe a better value… Could easily do a casual business lunch here or a date night dinner. Not the most upscale place but man their food is good! Enjoyable experience all-around, every time I come here.” – Yelp User

“Came here for lunch today with wife and 2 1/2 year old son. The menu was extensive and the food was delicious. I ordered the hot and spicy gyro plus the hummus trio for an appetizer. I verified that the tzaziki sauce was made with a yogurt base versus sour cream or mayo which was a good sign! I’ve been to plenty places that call themselves Greek, but make the tzaziki sauce all wrong, this place passed the test. The pita bread was soft and warm, the lamb pieces were thick, and the gyro got its’ spicy kick from jalapeno slices and hot sauce; it was amazing. I agree with one of the other reviews that the kids options were limited, however our son simply ate the pita/hummus and had bites from our gyros. I highly recommend this place if you are craving Greek.” – Yelp User
